• The cathedral church of Ieper (Ypres) was almost completely destroyed during the First World War. After the war the church was rebuilt in old style, with some alterations, like a much more impressive church tower. A new main organ was built by the company Anneessens-Tanghe in 1930-1931. It is installed on a gallery in the north transept. The prospect is designed by J. Coomans. The instrument was dedicated on July 14, 1931. The official mass was followed by a first concert by Louis Vanhoutte and Joseph Hanoulle, organist of the cathedral. Later that day the official inauguration was ended with a concert by Flor Peeters.
  
• A restoration has been carried out in 2021-2022, by Paul Andriessen and Stefan Claessens. The organ was not altered, but only restored following the original specification. On September 16, 2022, the organ was reopened with a concert by Benjamin Luyckx.
