- In 1847 Friedrich Gotthelf Pfützner built an organ for the Sankt Afrakirche in Meißen. The facade of this organ is still present. The current organ was built in 1907 by Hermann Eule as opus 115. The front of the old organ was enlarged by him. The new organ has two manuals and pedal, but both keyboard works are placed on four windchests, with ground stops and combination stops. In 1917 the prospect pipes were requisitioned. These were not replaced until 1931.
- After the Second World War, a restoration was urgently needed. This was performed by Eule, but the specification has been adapted to the new ideas of that time. The organ was reconstructed in the years 2010-2019 by the company A. Voigt. On June 27, 2019, the organ could be put back into use.
