1967 Jean-Georges Koenig  orgue neuf

  • The organ case from 1716 is all that remains of Pierre Delorme's original organ. This brother built the organ with two manuals and pedal in the years 1716/1717. He himself was organist of the church until his death on 11 May 1728. In 1756 a new church was built. Johann Adam Dingler transferred the organ without any changes.
  • Several repairs followed, but the organ was not substantially modified until 1867, when Joseph Géant converted and modernized it. The front pipes were requisitioned in 1917. In 1937 the work was rebuild again, this time to pneumatic action, by Henri Vondrasek.
  • In 1961, according to Delorme's specifications, which had been preserved, and following the directions of Dom Bedos in the Art du facteur d'Orgue, it was decided to rebuild the instrument in the old cases. The order went to Jean-Georges Koenig, who made use of advice from Michel Chapuis for the design. On the advice of Chapuis, the original plan was extended with a Larigot on the Positif and a Sesquialtera on the Pédale. In 1967 the organ could be inaugurated.
