- Around 1800, a small organ was built, most likely for a private person, by an unknown organ builder. Maybe it has been built by Dirk Johan or Johannes Baars, or Hermanus Knipscheer sr. The organ had three or four ranks. It must have been rebuilt around 1850 by Herman Knipscheer the second. The history of the instrument is unclear.
- The organ has been the property of the family W. Brusse, who lived at the Museumplein in Amsterdam. It was renovated by Théodore Haerpfer in 1927-1928, under supervision of Albert Schweitzer. Haerpfer enlarged the instrument with a pulldown pedalboard, an electric ventilator and modified the stop list. The prospect pipes were removed. In this condition, the instrument was installed at the house of Piet Esselman in Amsterdam in 1951, where it stood until 1958. It was in a bad condition at this time.
- Will Boegem carried out some reparation work in the years 1957-1959. The organ was transferred to the house of Luuk Zagt in The Hague, who bought it a number of years later. In 1965 he moved to Terheijden, and in 1977 the organ was relocated to a new house in Terheijden.
- When Luuk Zagt moved to 's Gravenmoer, the organ was reconstructed in 1991-1992 by Hans van Rossum. This reconstruction had the purpose to restore the situation of 1800.
