The organ of the catholic church of Saint John Baptist in Nieuw-Vossemeer is still completely in its original condition. It was built in 1854 by François Bernard Loret. At the beginning of the twentieth century, some pipes were replaced by zinc ones. In 1982 Piet Huijser restored the organ. The archive of the parish was lost in the flood in 1953, so that research on other Loret organs obtained information about the structure of the instrument. Huijser relocated the organ from the gallery to the church floor in the choir. The organ was dedicated again at Easter Sunday, April 11, 1982 with a concert by Luk Bastiaens from Liège.
