- On February 1, 1979, the Gereformeerde Kerk (Vrijgemaakt) of Hoogeveen took over the former Gereformeerde Kerk, Bentinckslaan in use. This church building was constructed in 1928. In the building there was an organ that was in a bad condition, and outdated in its concept. On November 26, 1988, Sicco Steendam signed a contract for the construction of a completely new organ. The organ was built in the style of the instrument of C.G.F. White, making a style copy of the organ in de Oude Kerk of Rotterdam-Delfshaven. The drawer of the Mixtuur has two positions. In the first position a number of choirs are canceled, in the second position the entire Mixtuur is heard. A same construction was made for the Sesquialter: only the third chorus sounds with half drawn stop. The organ was inaugurated on October 26, 1990. Pieter Deddens from Zuidlaren played the inauguration concert. He was also consultant during the work.
- In 2000 the church building was sold and a new church was then erected on a different location. This church was named 'De Opgang' and opened in 2005. The organ was transferred with only one addition. The Flute 4', which had been prepared only, was installed on the Hoofdwerk. Another modification was the color of the organ case. The case was painted in red and gold, but in the new church was painted in white and gold.
