Anton Josef Römer was an organ builder who was active in the Styria, in southeastern Austria. His father was Andreas Römer, from Brünn (Brno). Anton Josef married the widow of Cyriak Werner, an organ maker in Graz, on April 19, 1750, and settled in this city from then on. Römer died in Graz on 14 July 1779. The company has been continued for some time by Carl Schwandtner.
