Organ building company founded by Friedrich Fleiter (1842-1924) in 1872. He worked for the companies Sonreck (Cologne) and Haupt (Osnabrück). His son Ludwig Fleiter (1880-1963) took over the management of the company in 1912. In the Second World War, the business premises were almost completely lost due to bombing. Friedrich Fleiter Jr. (1901) took over the management in 1947 and rebuilt the company. Since 1977, the company has been headed by Friedhelm Fleiter (1949). In the same year it moved from the inner city of Münster to Nienberge, on the outskirts of the city.
