Carl or Karl Neusser was born on November 2, 1844 in Neutitschein as the son of the organ builder Jan (Johann) Neusser (1807-1878). He learned the trade from his father, but also worked for several years with organ builders in Austria. From 1868 he was his father's partner. He took over the company in 1870. Carl died on February 9, 1925. His sons Franz (1870) and Johann (1872-1893) also worked in the company. Franz joined Hans Mertel in Salzburg in 1921.
