- Martin Haspelmath werd geboren op 5 januari 1935 in Walsrode. Hij werkte in eerste instantie bij Paul Ott, waar hij in 1968 zijn meesterproef aflegde. In 1969 vestigde hij zich als zelfstandig orgelmaker in zijn geboorteplaats. Haspelmath specialiseerde zich in de restauratie van historische orgels in Noord-Duitsland. Op 1 mei 1996 overleed hij in Walsrode.
- Katrin Haspelmath (1970), is de oudste dochter van Martin Haspelmath. Zij zette de firma in 1996 voort.
