Organ maker from Waldlaubersheim. He was born on November 11, 1822 in Kestert am Rhein. He was a pupil of the Stumm company. Much work was done on behalf of Stumm. In 1844 he became employee of the Engert workshop in Waldlaubersheim. He married Anna Maria, daughter of Friedrich Engert in 1850. When Engert retired in 1854, Schlaad continued the workplace. He died on November 16, 1892 in Waldlaubersheim. His sons Hans or Johann Schlaad jr. and Heinrich Schlaad continued the company for a couple of years, but they didn't built new organs.
