Johann Pirchner (1900-1972) took over the management from Franz Reinisch in 1936 in the company of Karl Reinisch, who had died in 1932. The name Karl Reinisch's Erben was used until 1941. From 1945 the company was called Reinisch-Pirchner. After Pirchner had worked under his own name for several years (1954-1962), the company was officially named Reinisch-Pirchner again in 1962. In 1972, Johann Pirchner Jr. (1928-2012) took over the management. Since 1998 the company has been called Pirchner Orgelbau.
