Conrad Schott was an organ builder in Stuttgart in the sixteenth century. He was born in 1561 in this city. He became blind at the age of seven, but nevertheless developed into a good organ builder. He was appointed court organ maker by Duke Friedrich of Württemberg. Much of the construction work was carried out by his servants.
