Hook & Hastings built an organ in 1881 for the chapel of the Warren State Hospital, also known as the State Insane Asylum. The organ remained here without changes until a new chapel was built in 1972-1973. The instrument was subsequently put for sale, and was sold in 1974 for the chapel of Millersville State College, now Millersville University. It was transferred after restoration by James McFarland. It was inaugurated on October 5, 1975 with a concert by David Craighead.
