Skärholmens Kyrka was built as a temporary building, until the construction of a permanent church. It was dedicated in 1976. In 1968, Grönlund installed an organ with two stopss in the first building. This was replaced in 1969 by a larger six-stop organ from the same firm. The small organ was transferred to the church of Vårberg. It is not known what happened to the larger organ. In 1983 a new organ was put into use in the new church.
