  • In November 1864, a new extension of the prison in Copenhagen was inaugurated, especially for women. From 1870 on the entire building was used as a women's prison. The building remained in use until March 29, 1928, when all prisoners were transferred to Vestre Fængsel. A church belonged to the prison, which was dedicated on November 6, 1864. In this church stood a small organ, supplied by Frederik Hoffmann Ramus, with four stops. It is not known how long this organ was in use. The church space was sold in 1921 and converted into mansions.
  • The old part of the prison was renovated in the years 1863-1866. In this part, then still the men's prison, a church was also built, which was inaugurated on October 15, 1865. The last celebration was held in this church on March 25, 1928. In 1865 Knud Olsen built an organ with four stops, without a pedal. This was replaced in 1913 by a new six-stop organ from Starup & Søn. It was disassembled and stored in 1928. It is unknown if it still exists.
