- The organ in the parish church of Hl. Kreuzerhöhung in Wissen was built in 1973 by Franz Breil. The case of the previous organ was used, extended with a new positive (Rückpositiv). Twelve historic stops were also taken over. On September 15, 1973, the instrument was inaugurated with a concert by Josef Zimmermann, Dom organist in Cologne.
- The history of the organ is complex. It was installed in the church in 1829 by Christian Roetzel, and was acquired from the Franziskanerkirche in Attendorn. The original instrument was built in 1793 by Christian Kleine with eight stops. In 1849 the old organ of the Domkirche in Wetzlar was bought from the organ maker Hermann Loos, who merged it with the organ of Kleine to form a larger organ with 29 registers. The Wetzlar organ was constructed in 1758 by Langstroff. The new organ was rebuilt in 1888 by Wilhelm Schaeben. After an enlargement of the church building, Edmund Fabritius installed a new pneumatic organ with 39 stops in 1911-1912. The old case was enlarged by him and a number of registers were taken from the old organ. This instrument was in use until the construction of the Breil organ.
