- In 1908, the company Vegezzi-Bossi built an organ for the chapel of the Palazza Piombino. This house was built in 1890 to a design of Gaetano Koch. It is located on the Via Barberini. The house was sold to Margherita of Savoy (1851-1926), former queen of Italy. She restyled the interior and a chapel was designed by Lorenzo Stramucci and could be dedicated in 1902. The organ was designed in co-operation with the organist and composer Filippo Capocci. The name of the house stayed as it was, but it has been called Palazzo Margherita ever since. After the death of Margherita on January 4, 1926, the organ was relocated to the church of Sant' Elena fuori Porta Prenestina. The house was sold in 1931 to become the Ambassy of the United States of America. The chapel has been moved to Sabaudia in 1936.
- The organ was rebuilt in 1958 by Mario Strozzi. A new console was installed, all the action was renewed and a number of new ranks were placed.
