- The Evangelical Church of Sankt Johannis in Nordstemmen was dedicated in 1862. Philipp Furtwängler installed a pipe organ with 23 stops in 1865. In 1917, the prospect pipes were removed. In 1920, they were replaced by new pipes from zinc.
- The stop list was modified in 1951 in a more baroque sense, following an advice by Wilhelm Drömann from 1942. In 1999-2001, the organ has been restored by the company Hillebrand. The original specification was reconstructed at this occasion. New tin prospect pipes were installed.
