In 1972, the company Kemper & Sohn built a new two-manual organ for the Sankt Josefkirche in Obernkirchen. The instrument is installed on the north side of the gallery, in two organ cases. The Rückpositiv is positioned in the gallery. In 2012 the organ was overhauled by Jörg Bente. He revoiced the instrument, and carried out some modifications in the stoplist. The Principal 2' of the Rückpositiv and the Blockflöte 2' of the Hauptwerk were exchanged. The Oboe 8' of the Hauptwerk was shifted to the Rückpositiv and has been replaced by a new Trompete 8'. The Octave 4' of the Hauptwerk and Quinte 1 1/3' of the Rückpositiv are new stops by Bente.
