- The Church of the Holy Cross in Shreveport was built in 1905 as Saint Mark's Church. It replaced an earlier church building, that stood at a different location. In this church was an organ by Hook & Hastings from 1894 with twelve stops. This instrument was relocated to the new church. In 1911 it was sold to William Garret, living in Haslam and replaced by a new organ by Hutchings, that could be dedicated in 1912. However, this organ was lost during a fire in 1919. When the church was rebuilt again a new organ was installed by Ernest M. Skinner in 1921. The dedication took place on April 21, 1921 with a concert by Leo Bonnell Pomeroy.
- In 1949 a renovation was carried out by Aeolian-Skinner. Saint Mark's Church moved to Rutherford Street in 1954, becoming a cathedral. The old building was still in use, and got the new dedication to the Holy Cross. The organ remained in the church. It was mechanical reconstructed by Range Organ Builders in 1989. A last restoration was carried out by Garland Pipe Organs in 2015.
