- In 1944 a second hand pipe organ was bought for the First Presbyterian Church in Mineola, New York. The organ was built by Casavant Frères as a residence organ of Julia Rockwell in Norfolk, Connecticut. After she died the instrument was sold to the church and transfered to this place by Wilfred Lavallee. It is a small three-manual organ with fourteen ranks. It was dedicated on October 22, 1944 with Robert E. Jones as organist.
- Julia Ludlow Rockwell (ca. 1870/1875-1943) was a musician, who worked in Norfolk, where the Frederick W. Rockwell House was her home. This large mansion does still exist, on a small sideroad of Laurel Way. Julia Rockwell was also active as a composer of a number of works for organ, piano and vocal works, although most of her works were never published.
- In 1959 a new Casavant organ was installed in the church. It's likely that the old one was taken back by the builders, and maybe demolished or sold to someone else.
