- Old Pine Street Church in Philadelphia was dedicated in 1768. After the rebuild of the facade around 1869 a new organ was purchased. It was built by J.C.B. Standbridge with three manuals and pedal, and was located on the rear gallery of the church.
- Around 1950 the organ was not used anymore during services: a piano and later an electronic organ were serving the congregation. Although the organ kept standing on its gallery, it deteriorated slowly. In 1964 a new organist tried to save the organ, but after he left in 1969 plans were made soon to demolish the organ, keep the prospect, and put loudspeakers behind this. And so it happened: the organ was dismantled in the spring of 1969, and all material was destroyed.
