- The Sydney architects Weaver & Kemp designed Saint John the Baptist Church in Mudgee, that was built 1853-1860, and completed with a tower in 1870. In 1855 they bought an organ from J.W. Walker & Son, that was replaced in 1882 by the current organ, built in 1881 by Brindley & Foster. The Walker organ was reinstalled in the Presbyterian Church in Mudgee. The new organ was a gift by Robert White.
- Plans for rebuilding the organ with electric action from 1963 were cancelled in time. Under supervision of David Kinsela the firm Noad restored the organ in it's original condition. A last restoration was carried out in 2007-2008 by Peter Jewkes. The organist of the church, Gavin Tipping, was adviser during the works. He also played the re-dedication concert on August 31, 2008, together with reverend Michael Deasey and organ builder Peyer Jewkes.
