The organ in the parish church of Saint Peter and Paul in Heiningen, a former cloister church (Stiftskirche) was built in 1887 by Heinrich Vieth. He used parts of the former organ of the church, built in the seventeenth century by Andreas Schweimb. The Vieth organ was renovated bu Martin Haspelmath in 1989. A major restoration took place in the years 2008-2010 by the firm Klais Orgelbau. On August 8, 2010, the organ was dedicated again.
