The parish church of Katzem was badly damaged during the Second World War. The old organ remained in the gallery as a ruin for a long time. In 1964 the remains were cleared and a new organ was built by Karl Bach. It is a two manual organ with twelve registers. There are still reserved places on the first manual and the pedal.
