  • The Sankt Elisabethkirche in the old town of Berlin was built in 1832-1834 and was designed by Karl Friedrich Schinkel. The first organ was built by Carl August Buchholz. It was a fairly modest instrument with eighteen stops. In 1888 the instrument was modified by Gebr. Dinse.
  • In 1938 the old organ was torn down and replaced by a new instrument by Alexander Schuke, which was inspired by the ideas of the Orgelbewegung. In the new instrument, Schuke took over large parts of the old organ, including the prospect.
  • On March 18, 1945, the church was destroyed by bombing. The church was rebuilt after the war, but the building is not in use as a church anymore. There is no organ in the building.
