The organ in the village church of Possendorf was originally built in 1764 by Johann Michael Hesse. It was dismantled in 1822 and then rebuilt by Johann Schulze. Hermann Kopp restored the work in 1877, using four old registers were replaced by romantic stops on the advice of A.W. Gottschalg. In 1917 the front pipes were removed. The organ had to be dismantled again in 1921 in connection with a restoration of the tower. It was not rebuilt until 1987. A year later a restoration started by Klaus Kopetzki, which was completed in 1989.
