Under the advice of Heinrich R. Trötschel, the Weigle company built a three manual organ for the Stadtkirche in Sankt-Georgen in 1968. The organ is set up in two separate cases, with a rose window in the center. The front was designed in collaboration with the architect G. Rosenfelder.
The organ has been restored by Mühleisen Orgelbau in 2020. At this occasion the instrument has been revoiced, and a modern electronic combination action with super- and sub octave couplers was installed. Some minor modifications to the stoplist have been made. The Spillpfeife 8' of the Hauptwerk was replaced with a Hohlflöte 8', and the Blockflöte 2' (Hauptwerk) and Feldflöte 2' (Schwellwerk) were exchanged. The Schwellwerk was also altered. The Terznone 2 fach was modified to a Terz. The Cimbel was replaced with a Salicional, and a Vox Coelestis has been prepared for. The Clarine 4' was shifted to a Clairon 8'. On the Rückpositiv the Stahlspiel 3 fach was modified to a Septime, and the Terzzimbel has been reduced to four ranks. Consultant was Michael G. Kaufmann.
