The Lutherkirche in Karlsruhe was dedicated in 1907. The Voit company installed an organ with 43 registers, divided over three manuals and a pedal. This organ was severely damaged in 1944 and was replaced in 1952 by a Walcker organ. Due to the lack of raw materials, Walcker used various old materials from all kinds of organs during construction. In 2000, the Mönch company was commissioned to build a completely new instrument. Consultants were Martin Kares and Dorothea Lehmann-Horsch. The organ was inaugurated on November 4, 2001 with a concert by Dorothea Lehmann-Horsch. Both the organ case and the disposition were inspired by the organ that Voit had completed in 1907.
