1958 Paul Zimnol  restauration

  • In 1858-1859 Eberhard Friedrich Walcker built a new organ for the Protestant church in Gommersheim. It has opus number 156 (work list Walcker) or 167 (information Bernhard H. Bonkhoff). Bonkhoff mentions a Vox Cölestis in its own swell box, but Walcker mentions a Physharmonika in its own swell box. The latter seems most likely.
  • The prospect pipes were removed in 1917. These were replaced in 1921 with zinc pipes. In 1942 a wind engine was installed. Paul Zimnol carried out a restoration in 1958. The organ was demolished in 1979 and then replaced by a completely new organ by Ernest Muhleisen.
