- In 1865, Aristide Cavaillé-Coll built an organ for the Marquis Ernest-Marie-Charles de Lambertye à Gerbevillier, who had a chapel built on his estate. The organ was put into use in October 1865. After the death of the Marquis in 1904, the organ was sold in 1909 and transferred to the church of Saint-Maurice in Bécon-les-Bruyères. Charles Mutin transferred it in 1912/1913, during which the instrument underwent some changes. A new organ case with a new front was also built, because of the space available to place the organ. Eugène Gigout played the inauguration concert on April 6, 1913.
- Over time, the organ has been extensively modified. Much of the original pipework has been replaced by other, stops have been removed, the wind pressure has been changed and ultimately the organ fell into disrepair. It was no longer playable. Some renovation works were carried out by Jean Jonet in 1976 and Jean Barbéris in 1985.
- In 2010, plans were started for a reconstruction of the organ to its 1865 condition. This work was carried out in the years 2013-2015 by Nicolas Toussaint and Laurent Plet.
