- The Apostelkirche in Bochum-Querenburg was built in 1972-1973. The church building was built as an ecumenical church building for the Roman Catholic parish and the Evangelical Lutheran congregation. In 1977 the company Jehmlich from Dresden built a two-manual organ with 25 stops for the church as their opus 976.
- In September 2008, the Roman Catholic parish celebrations of the Eucharist were stopped. Because there was also a large decline in the other celebrations, it was decided to stop the usage of the building as a church building. The last service was held on Sunday, February 12, 2012, after which the church was decommissioned. The building has been preserved and kept being used by the university. Regular meetings were still organized. The organ was dismantled by Jehmlich in 2012 and stored.
- The Jehmlich organ was sold in 2016 to the concregation of Sparrieshoop. It was transferred by the Freiburger Orgelbau Hartwig & Tilmann Späth to the Evangelische Osterkirche in Klein Offenseth-Sparrieshoop in Schleswig-Holstein. It has been restored and re-voiced. A Setzeranlage and a Zimbelstern were added. The new prospect is designed by Lothar D. Zickermann. The organ in Sparrieshoop was put into use on June 3rd, 2018. Lukas Maschke provided the official dedication concert.
