Ausführliche Beschreibung der vorgewählten Orgel
Oberau (Altenstadt), Deutschland (Hessen) - Evangelische Kirche
Gemeinde: Altenstadt
Adresse:
Beschreibung nr.: 2010116.
Gebaut von: Johann Georg Förster (1865)
Johann Georg Förster built a two-manual organ for the village church of Oberau in Hessen in 1865. The wind chest of the Hauptwerk has double cancels, so that the pipes can be used on both the manual and the pedal. The prospect pipes were requisitioned in 1917 and were a couple of years later replaced by zinc ones. In 1968 Bernhard Schmidt installed a wind blower and new pewter prospect pipes. As a result of hot air heating, the organ could no longer be played in 1971. It was restored by Förster & Nicolaus in 1989, after eighteen years of silence.
