  • In 1868, the Hook brothers built an organ for the Green Hill Presbyterian Church in Philadelphia. This organ served until the closure of the meetinghouse in 1987. After this, it was taken over by a Baptist church, where the congregation did not use the organ and sold it to Patrick J. Murphy, an organ builder in Stowe. It was in poor condition and had suffered water damage, among other things.
  • Through the Organ Clearing House, the University of Saint Joseph in Philadelphia purchased the instrument for their chapel. It was restored by Murphy. A Flûte à Cheminée and a Twelfth were placed on two empty places on Great's windchest. This Flute is not new, but comes from an organ by J.C.B. Stanbridge, built in 1876 for the Old Scots Presbyterian Church in Philadelphia, while the Twelfth dates from 1907 and was made by Hook & Hastings. The Mixture was originally 2 ranks and was expanded with a third choir. Furthermore, Murphy placed a Clarionet 16' on a new side slide on Swell, filled in the bass on some registers and placed a Flageolet on an empty slide on Swell's drawer. This stop was made in 1890 by Cole & Woodberry. A new Violoncello had to be made on the pedal and the pedal was expanded with a Trombone.
  • Saint Joseph's Chapel was completed in 1995. It is not clear whether the organ was placed there then, or earlier.
