The two choir organs of the Sankt Florian Abbey were built in 1681 by a member of the Römer organ-making family. The Epistel organ was named Sonntags organ, and the Gospel organ was named Tagamts organ. Daniel List installed a new interior in the Gospel organ in 1780. The Epistel organ received a largely new interior in 1885 by Matthäus Mauracher. In 1931, the Mauracher company completely renovated both organs. The instrument now had three manuals and pedals and electric action. The pipework of the third manual is located in the case of the Gospel organ.
