- In 1927, the Walcker company built a large organ in the concert hall of the Hans Sachs-Haus, Ebertstraße 11 in Gelsenkirchen. On October 15, 1927, the hall and the organ were inaugurated. Günther Ramin played the organ part in an organ concert by Handel. Althought building and organ were damaged by bombings in March 1945, they both could be restored. The organ was renewed after the war by the Walcker firm and was put back into use on 23 August 1949 with a concert by Helmut Walcha. The original Fernwerk was shut down in 1955 and demolished in 1974.
- Walcker restored the organ in 1982. The original electro-pneumatic action was replaced with a completely new electric action. A new console was also installed. In 2007 the Seifert company carried out a thorough restoration. Once again a completely new console was installed.
- The Hans-Sachs-Haus in Gelsenkirchen was demolished in 2009-2010, except for the facade. The organ was stored in Kevelaer at the Seifert company. There have been plans to transfer it to the Sankt-Reinoldikirche in Dortmund, but they have not taken place. In 2017-2019 the organ has been rebuilt and expanded by the Seifert company, and installed in the Sankt Antoniuskirche in Papenburg. The organ was inaugurated here on September 11, 2020 with a concert by Martin Sander.
