- The Lutheran Church of St. Peter is built in the shape of a cube, to a design by Hugh Stebbins. The organ in the church was built by Klais Orgelbau in an organ case after a design by Massimo Vignelli . It is set up in a corner of the church. The specification was designed by Hans Gerd Klais together with Gordon Jones, Vernon de Tar and John Weaver. The instrument was inaugurated on December 7, 1977 with a concert by John Weaver.
- In early 2021, the church building was damaged by flooding and mudslides due to a broken City water pipe. The organ was disassembled and stored by Fisk Organ Builders. After the restoration of the church was finished, it was renovated by Fisk and placed in this church. The mechanisms have been renewed, and the disposition has been expanded with five stops. The voicing has also been revised.
- The reborn organ was put back into use on November 4 and 5, 2023. On November 4, concerts were given by Nathan J. Laube in the afternoon and Nicole Keller in the evening, in collaboration with the Saint Peter's Chamber Orchestra conducted by Balint Karosi. On November 5, 2023, Maurice Duruflé's Requiem was performed by Saint Peter's Choir and Chamber Orchestra, with Colin Fowler as organist.
