Année | Facteur | Opus | Activité | ca. 1830 | John Smith | orgue neuf | 1856 | Joseph Monday | transfer | 2003 | Fokke Rinke Feenstra | restauration |
- On December 22, 2003, a second hand English organ was inaugurated in "De Morgenster" (The Morning Star) of the Gereformeerde Kerk (Vrijgemaakt) in Grootegast. It was imported to the Netherlands by Fokke Feenstra, restored and rebuilt. The organ was acquired from the Congregational Church in Portshead, where it was installed in 1879. Before that time, however, the instrument was already in service in the chapel of the prison "The Old Goal" in Bristol. The chapel in Bristol was inaugurated in 1820.
- It is assumed that John Smith built the organ for this chapel around 1830. The prison chapel was renovated in 1856. Joseph Monday installed an organ in the chapel that year. It is possible that this is Smith's organ, but it is more likely that Monday placed a new organ, which incorporated material from the old. In that case the organ in fact is a Monday organ.
