Nijmegen, Nederland (Gelderland) - Sint Antonius van Paduakerk (Groesbeekseweg)
Commune: Nijmegen
Adresse: Groesbeekseweg 96, 6524 DJ, Nijmegen

Description no.: 1007862.

Bâti par: Cäcilia Österreichische Orgelbau A.G. (ca. 1930)
Demolished (1968)

The Austrian firm Cäcilia Orgelbau AG installed an organ with pneumatic cone chests in the Antonius van Paduakerk on the Groesbeekseweg in Nijmegen. This will have happened around 1930. After 1960 the organ started to function worse and worse and the sound and the location of the organ no longer satisfied. Plans to restore the instrument and relocated it to the choir turned out to be too expensive for this type of organ. In March 1968 a new organ by Verschueren was dedicated. The old instrument was left on the gallery for a few more years, but then it was demolished.
